The Albert and Trudy Kallis Foundation produces award-winning film and television programming on a broad range of documentary subjects including art, music, filmmaking, history, science and human spirituality.
In addition, the Kallis Foundation supports educational and community service organizations by crafting special interest programs, making direct contributions, and endowing scholarships.
Our mission is to foster, develop and create original documentary programming that educates and informs audiences in unique and entertaining ways.

The Kallis Foundation is a major supporter of the Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) which promotes the classical music tradition by nurturing the personal, academic, and artistic development of youth ages 8 – 25. For almost six decades ago, YMF has been offering opportunities for youth of all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds to develop their abilities and passions for music.
MATTHEW KALLIS ’86 heard Oprah before he saw her. He’d been asked to attend the Sundance Film Festival for the announcement that OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s TV network, had chosen his documentary film, Most Valuable Players, as a charter member of her new documentary club —the film counterpart to the famous Oprah’s Book Club.
There is a shy teen who blossoms on stage as the star of the high school musical. There's the soccer jock who finds a greater bliss belting out numbers from Bye Bye Birdie than kicking goals into the net. Then there's the archetypal drama coach, inspiring her students to unleash their innermost thespians.
